Noel leads the European advisory division in Amanie focusing on investment banking services. As a Corporate Financier, Noel’s sector focus is in real estate, renewable energy and infrastructure. Over the last 3 years and during the height of the financial crisis, Noel was an advisor to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). At the CBI, Noel was sought for his experience in corporate transactions and his expertise in commercial real estate backed debt which at its peak was in excess of US$150bn forming the largest collateral pool in the Irish banking system. Following government investment of c.US$75bn in Irish Banks, Noel reviewed the viability of the restructuring plans and assessed the distressed credit functions of these institutions. As the government’s investment was part funded by the IMF, Noel assisted the CBI on a number of deliverables under the Irish government’s Memorandum of Understanding with the Troika. During his time at the Central Bank, Noel created an awareness of the emerging importance of Islamic finance as an alternative source of capital and participated in government led discussions to position Ireland as the western hub for Islamic finance. Prior to the Central Bank, Noel was a principal on structured finance transactions in Munich and Luxembourg and practiced in KPMG Corporate Finance in Dublin.  Noel is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant’s (CIMA) Diploma in Islamic Finance and a Fellow member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom.
